Farmer’s Market

Laguna Beach has its own certified Farmer’s Market every Saturday from

8 to 11 a.m. in the Lumberyard parking lot. The outdoor market carries

all the great produce and more that you’d want including: breads, honey,

olives, cheese, fish, plants, humus, cookies, strawberries, stone fruits,

Culinary Arts

Laguna Culinary Arts offers all kinds of cooking classes for all

cooking enthusiasts. Upcoming classes are a savoring summer class on

Saturday July 6 featuring fire roasted eggplant and pepper soup;

asparagus and goat cheese wrapped in phyllo with roasted pepper couli;

baby green salad; curry and ginger rubbed lamb with apricot-lime sauce;

ratatouille; buttermilk shortcakes with mascarapone and summer fruit. The

price is $165 per person -- $250 for two. On Sunday July 7 from 5 to 9

p.m. there will be an Italian Sunday cooking class that will feature

caprese salad; roasted pepper and grilled bread salad with sage; grilled

fish with garlic chard; pears and pepper Parmesan with honey. The price

is $95 per person, or $150 for two. All classes are hands-on, and include

a nice meal. The cooking school also carries fine cookware and supplies.

Jackie Lee Interior

Jackie Lee Interior Design is one stop shopping for all kinds of

decorating needs. The store can help you with window coverings, custom

reupholstery, bedspreads, pillows and carpet. Its window coverings

selection includes draperies, Hunter Douglas blinds, solar shades,

matchstick blinds and Roman blinds. Its at 1745 South Coast Highway.

Glenmore Antique Irish Pine

If you love the look of antique pine furniture, you’ll love Glenmore

Antique Irish Pine. The shop is filled with chairs, armoires, tables, end

tables, desks and more. It’s open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m.

to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. It’s open Monday by appointment

Affordables

Bargain shoppers will appreciate the finds at Affordables - Fine

Furniture and Decorative Accessories. The consignment shop buys and sells

home decor and furnishings. There’s a nice selection of lighting, china

and chairs. It’s open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. It’s

Little Bohemian

One of my favorite clothing shops in Laguna Beach, Little Bohemian

carries some really great pieces for casual dressing. There’s a big

selection of Paul Frank merchandise, my favorite L.A. based designer -

Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, Anna Huling and French Connection tee’s. It’s

Soul to Sole

Everyone loves Soul to Sole for bargains on shoes and clothing. The

store carries eyeglasses, T-shirts, skirts, casual pants, accessories and

a great selection of casual shoes. Popular shoe brand names include

Rocket Dog and Chinese Laundry. The shop caters to women only, and the

424 South Coast Highway Store is much larger and has men’s clothing and

Candy Baron

Kids and adults who crave candy can find every kind of candy under the

sun including candies you might remember from your childhood at Candy

Baron. The candy store carries Jelly Bellys, salt water taffy,

chocolates, licorice, Gummy candies, sugar free candies and more. All of

the candies are placed in huge barrels for easy shopping, and candies are

Areo

Areo is a great place to find gifts and home accents. There’s a big
