NBLL 9-10s just miss on Mission Impossible

Thomsen can’t recall a showing quite like the one his team of 9- and

10-year-olds gave in the District 55 All-Stars Tournament.

The NBLL All-Stars reached the final of Area A in District 55,

after going the hard way. They had to win the second-chance bracket,

and then they would have to beat an undefeated North Mission Viejo

team to take on the Area B champion.

However, North Mission Viejo ended Newport’s dream run with a 6-3

victory Sunday at Youth Sports Park in Mission Viejo.
