Firefighters come back from break to down Rotary

The Firefighters came back from spring break layoff Monday night to

rally past Rotary, 5-2, in Laguna Beach Little League Majors Division

play at Riddle Field.

Down 2-0, the Fire Fighters began their comeback in the bottom of

the third inning.

Alex Sasaki drew his team even at 2-2 with a hit to right field

that scored both Ian Greene and Spencer Freidenrich.

The Firefighters grabbed the lead for good in the fourth when

Michael Lewis’ bunt brought home Adam Seleven.

RBI singles in the inning by Brennen Mulvaney scored Michael

Lewis and Andrew Shapiro as the Firefighters upped their lead to 5-2.

After a scoreless first two innings that saw both teams go down in

order, Rotary took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third when Roy

Herbert’s single scored two runs.
