Corona del Mar grabs PCL title

Corona del Mar High clinched the Pacific Coast League boys volleyball

title Tuesday with a 15-7, 15-2, 15-6 victory over visiting Calvary

Chapel. It is the fourth league title in five years for the Sea

Kings.

Stanford-bound senior middle blocker Eric Jones led the way for

CdM with 11 kills. Miles Yourman added eight.

Gunner McClellan had seven kills and two aces, Brandon

Sherick-Odom added five kills and two blocks and Brian Brinkerhoff

had seven kills and three blocks.

Setter Greg Gabriel pitched in with 37 assists and Dominic Rubino

added 11.

The Sea Kings improved to 16-10, 9-0.
