Black Attack advances

Alexandra Steiner, Kirsten Rohan and Brooke Stimson each had two

singles and two RBIs to lead the Pacific Coast Girls Fastpitch

Softball under-8 Division Black Attack to a 9-2 victory over the

second-seeded Red Hot Tamales Thursday at Arroyo Park.

Delaney Owen singled three times while Courtney Brown tallied two

singles and an RBI. Megan Hawkins added another single and RBI for

the Black Attack, who advanced to the semifinals of the playoffs,

held Saturday.

The Tamales and Attack combined for 14 hits.

Hawkins, Reegan Dennis, Natalie O’Neill and Hanna VanVoorhis each

hit well and showed strong defense for coaches Chris Rohan and Mike

Steiner.
