Youth basketball signups Saturday

The North Huntington Beach Chapter of National Junior Basketball

will hold a walk-up registration session Saturday at the Marina High

gymnasium.

The league is open to boys and girls grades three through eight.

Registration for the upcoming winter season will begin at 9 a.m.

and end at 11 a.m.

A registration fee of $125 is required per player and covers 10

games -- all played at local gymnasiums -- team uniforms, team

picture and individual trophies.

All games are played on Sundays. The season begins the final

weekend in November and runs through the end of February, 2005.

Huntington Valley signups on Sunday

Huntington Valley Little League will hold the first of four signup

sessions for its spring 2005 season Sunday.

The session will run between 1 and 4 p.m. at Wardlow Field, near

the snack shack.

The field is at 9191 Pioneer Blvd., near the cross streets of

Magnolia Ave. and Adams St.

The league is open to boys and girls ages five to 14 as of July

31, 2005, who live within the boundaries of the league.

Cost per player is $50 for T-Ball division, $95 for Little League

Division and $150 for Junior Division.

Future signup dates include Nov. 20 to 21 and Dec. 11.
