TUESDAY
* Aster Street and Cypress Lane: A person reported that a tree
fell on a car at 5:20 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A patient was reported missing from South
Coast Medical Center in the 31800 block at 5:20 p.m. The patient was
located by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and returned to the
hospital at 3:16 a.m. Wednesday.
MONDAY
* Forest Avenue: A man reportedly swung a metal pole in the air
for 15 minutes in the 300 block at 6:10 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A man reported someone smashed his truck’s
windows over the weekend in the 800 block at 1:39 p.m. Monday.
* Laguna Canyon Road: An Aliso Viejo man was arrested on suspicion
of driving under the influence and being under the influence of a
controlled substance during a traffic stop in which two others were
arrested in the 600 block at 2:08 p.m. A second Aliso Viejo man was
arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled
substance and a warrant for possession of hashish or cannabis. A
Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of being under the
influence of a controlled substance.
* North Coast Highway: A man reportedly hit a woman in the 400
block at 4:39 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A man reported receiving threats via telephone,
e-mail and writing in the 400 block at 3 p.m. Monday.
* Vista de la Luna: Identity theft was reported when police were
told $15,000 worth of fraud had been committed in the 10 block at
4:46 p.m. Monday.
SUNDAY
* 7th Avenue and South Coast Highway: Skateboarders were
reportedly laying down in traffic at 4:23 p.m.
* Catalina Street: A woman reported she had been followed home by
the occupants of a black SUV who she reportedly saw taking pictures
of the local Democratic Party headquarters after she took home a
pro-John Kerry sign in the 1400 block at 6:45 p.m. She told police
she saw what appeared to be pro-George W. Bush stickers on the SUV
and requested extra police patrols near her home.
* Cress Street and South Coast Highway: A teenage boy and two
other people carrying pro-George W. Bush signs reportedly blocked the
entrance to the local Democratic Party Headquarters at 5:30 p.m.
* Florence Avenue: A woman reported a stranger was calling her
name while standing at her front porch in the 31600 block at 10:11
p.m.
* Glenneyre Street and Oak Street: A 1992 Toyota 4-Runner was
reported stolen at 7:10 p.m.
* Main Beach: A man was reportedly yelling profanities while
sitting under a tree in the 100 block at 12:50 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A restaurant manager requested police help
to escort a man away from a bar after the man reportedly harassed
employees and refused to leave in the 30800 block at 2:06 a.m.
SATURDAY
* Broadway: A man who was reported missing from Garden Grove was
found in the 300 block at 2:47 p.m. Saturday.
* Cleo Street: Shoplifting was reported when police were told a
man left a store after setting off the door security alarm in the 200
block at 11:54 a.m.
* El Toro Road and Laguna Canyon Road: Police received a report
that a man was smoking narcotics, yelling at cars and exposing
himself at 5:54 p.m. Saturday.
* Santa Cruz Street: Police advised a woman on how to obtain a
restraining order after she reported receiving a gift from a man who
she said had been harassing her in the 200 block at 9:31 p.m.
Saturday.
* South Coast Highway: Two or three men reportedly chased another
man in the 1200 block at 2:38 a.m. Saturday.
FRIDAY
* South Coast Highway: Two people reportedly damaged a car while
fighting in the 400 block at 8:01 p.m.
* South Coast Highway and Bluebird Canyon Drive: A man reportedly
chased a woman at 11:25 p.m.
