Irvine LA Fitness property sold
Newport Beach based CT Realty Corp. announced June 27 that Bayport
Jamboree Associates, LLC, a Costa Mesa company, had purchased its
four-acre LA Fitness property in Irvine. CT Realty sold the property
to Bayport for $15.45 million.
CT Realty developed a 41,000 square-foot health club on the
property after acquiring the land from the Irvine Co. in 2002.
Pat Kent and Shaun Riley of Faris Lee Investments’ Irvine office
represented both parties in the deal.
Water Pik sells off heating business
Water Pik Technologies, Inc., a Newport Beach, company, announced
Friday that the firm had completed its sale of its Laars Heating
Systems business to the Bradford White Corp. for $24.3 million.
Bradford White is headquartered in Ambler, Pa.
The deal included a manufacturing plant in New Hampshire and a
distribution center in Canada, according to a release.
Lyons Homes public offer withdrawn
William Lyon Homes chairman and controlling stockholder William
Lyon announced Tuesday he had withdrawn his offer to take the
homebuilding company public.
According to a statement, Lyon is still interested in buying
publicly held shares but not at current market values.
Tuesday, William Lyon Homes closed at $99.49. Stock prices fell to
$96.65 Friday.
In April, Lyon offered to buy out William Lyon Homes’ outstanding
common stock for $82 per share. A special committee of the company’s
board of directors announced it had decided June 20 the proposal was
not adequate.
