Thurston hosting annual sports swap

Laguna Beach residents can sell and purchase sports equipment and help Thurston Middle School’s Parent Teacher Assn. during the school’s fifth annual sports swap Nov. 2.

Residents should bring used gear such as wetsuits, paddleboards and golf clubs to the school from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the following day in the gymnasium of the school, at 2100 Park Ave.

Thurston’s PTA will keep 40% of the purchase price, with the rest going to the seller, according to the PTA website.

Any unsold items at 3 p.m. Nov. 2 will sell for 50% off the asking price, with all funds going to the PTA, a news release said.

Remaining unsold goods will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, the release said.
