Michelle Steel’s election to the House of Representatives leaves a vacancy on the Board of Supervisors.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Michelle Steel has 4,774 more votes than Rep. Harley Rouda in the election for the 48th Congressional District, which includes Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.
Glenn Grandis is on his way to taking one of the two open seats as the newcomer has 9,756 votes as of 5 p.m. Thursday. Ted Bui is second with 8,330 votes, followed by Mayor Cheryl Brothers at 7,880.
