Hayley Hodson had 19 kills to help lead the host Sea Kings to a 25-8, 25-23, 25-16 Pacific Coast League win Tuesday.
Samantha Jones had seven kills and Paige Migliori amassed 22 assists for CdM (18-4, 8-0 in league).

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Carolyn Bockrath had 28 kills and Ellie Hagadorn had 58 assists to lead the visiting Sailors to a 20-25, 25-23, 25-29, 25-17 Sunset League win on Tuesday.
Remy Wilson added 16 kills and Gabby Shelley had 13 for the winners (7-18, 5-3 in league), who are in third place with two league matches remaining as they try to solidify a spot in the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
Sammie Yeager had 22 digs and Brooke Sweitzer added 11 for the Tars, who visit Los Alamitos on Thursday and close out the league season on Tuesday against Marina.

GIRLS’ TENNIS
Academy League finals
Sage Hill School sophomore Jaclyn Gerschultz and two Lightning doubles teams advanced Tuesday to Wednesday’s semifinals at the Tennis Club in Newport Beach.
Gerschultz, the No. 1 singles seed, will play No. 4-seeded Christie Kittelsen of Crean Lutheran.
Connie Yu and Briana Rayhaun of Sage Hill, the No. 4 seeded doubles tandem, will play top-seeded Lydia Hwant and Sara Choung of Oxford Academy in one doubles semifinal.
The Sage Hill pair of No. 2-seeded Tess Alexander and Marina Anderson will also vie in the semifinals.
Sage’s Amira Tarsadia, the No. 3 seed in singles, was upset in Tuesday’s quarterfinals.
All semifinals begin at 3 p.m., with the finals and third-place matches to follow immediately.

Pacific Coast League finals
Corona del Mar High’s Lauren Thaxter, the No. 1 seed in singles, advanced to Wednesday’s semifinals at Beckman.
She will play Chloe Pham, the No. 4 seed from Northwood.
In doubles, CdM’s Kenzie Purcifull and Kimmia Naaseh, the No. 4 seeds also advanced to the semifinals. They will face No. 1 seeds Danielle Pham and Yuki Asami from University.
CdM’s Elena Fish won one round then fell to No. 2 seed Stephanie Hazell from Woodbridge, 0-6, 0-6.
Three other CdM doubles teams won their first round then fell in the quarterfinals. Erica Chen and Paige Kenerson lost to Asami/Pham, 0-6, 1-6. No. 3 seeds Jasie Dunk and Siena Sharf lost to Sarah May Garcia and Judy Kam of University, the No. 6 seeds, 4-6, 0-6. Taylor Fogarty and Riley Gerdau, the No. 5 seeds, lost to No. 2 seeds Celine Gruaz and Kyla Scott of University, 1-6, 0-6.

Seniors Matt Sherburne and Jay Neiger and junior Ashton Jajonie scored three goals each for the host Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Tuesday.
Junior Jack Trush and Garrett Spruce scored two goals each for CdM.
Senior goalie Ryan Hamm made seven saves and junior Nigel Bress made nine saves for the Sea Kings.
