Lakers lead Washington at halftime, 64-49
Washington -- Kobe Bryant has 20 points and the Lakers lead the Washington Wizards at halftime, 64-49, Wednesday at Verizon Center.
Bryant already looks better than his dreadul eight-for-26 shooting night Tuesday in the Lakers’ overtime loss to Detroit.
He has made six of 13 shots and all six of his free-throw attempts as the Lakers try to improve their 6-13 road record.
Pau Gasol has nine points and seven rebounds for the Lakers (23-15).
The Wizards (8-29) are showing why they have the second-worst record in the NBA. Their defense has been porous and their judgment on offense questionable. Jordan Crawford had 10 points at halftime on subpar four-for-13 shooting.
The Lakers complete a three-game road trip Friday in Minnesota.
