Five takeaways from the Clippers win over Lakers

The Clippers avenged their Christmas loss to the Lakers with a dominating 113-97 victory Saturday at Staples Center.

Here are five things to take away from the game:

1. Austin Rivers keeps tearing it up on offense, dropping in shot after shot after shot.

Rivers had 15 points on seven-for-14 shooting. He missed four of his five three-pointers, but otherwise was on point throughout the game. Rivers had a plus-13.

Then there was his defense.

Rivers hounded D’Angelo Russell, Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson all over the court.

2. The shooting struggles for Jamal Crawford continued. He was just one-for-nine shooting from the field.

But he also seemed to hesitate when he took shots rather than being aggressive.

3. The Clippers shot the ball well against the Lakers, making 52.2% of their shots from the field.

DeAndre Jordan was the best at making shots, making 12 of 13 shots from the field. Of course all of those were dunks or layups.

4. Now that Raymond Felton is playing his regular minutes and coming off the bench again, he has prospered.

Felton had 15 points on seven-for-11 shooting. His defense also was very good.

5. Normally J.J. Redick is one of the best shooters on the Clippers. But he was not one of the best Saturday.

Redick was just four of 12 from the field, two of seven from three-point range.
