Watch a clip of the Dodgers’ new all-access TV show

The Dodgers’ new television home, SportsNet LA, is envisioned as “a Dodger-only channel with Dodger-only content 24-7,” in the words of team President Stan Kasten.

That means live coverage of every game, except those selected for national Fox or ESPN broadcasts. That means a live pregame show, expanded to 60 minutes.

And what else, for the other 20 hours of the day? The Dodgers and Time Warner Cable, partners in SportsNet LA, promise to include player profiles and behind-the-scenes shows.

The clip above -- from a show called “Backstage: Dodgers” -- includes glimpses of Clayton Kershaw at his Texas home, Matt Kemp on a hospital visit, and Vin Scully at the Rose Parade. The SportsNet LA crew spent the day with Kershaw on Nov. 13, as he learned he had won the National League Cy Young award.

SportsNet LA launches Feb. 25, with Scully planning to be on hand for the festivities at Camelback Ranch. The Dodgers’ spring training schedule starts the following day, with SportsNet LA set to air every Cactus League game.

However, it is unlikely that many fans will be able to see the new channel right away. Other than TWC, no cable or satellite provider has yet agreed to carry SportsNet LA.
