Dodgers notes: Zack Greinke update, Tuesday lineup
PHOENIX -- Zack Greinke performed defensive drills with the Dodgers’ other pitchers Tuesday morning. Provided he doesn’t feel any discomfort in his calf as a result, he’s scheduled to pitch a couple of innings Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers have six exhibition games remaining before they leave to Australia for their season-opening series.
Hanley Ramirez and Andre Ethier won’t play Tuesday in the Dodgers’ game against the Kansas City Royals in nearby Surprise. Manager Don Mattingly figured that by resting Ramirez and Ethier, he could play them in the team’s last five Cactus League games.
The Dodgers lineup for their game against the Royals:
Chone Figgins SS
Carl Crawford LF
Yasiel Puig RF
Adrian Gonzalez 1B
Scott Van Slyke CF
Juan Uribe 3B
Justin Turner 2B
A.J. Ellis C
Dan Haren P
