Dodgers’ Carl Crawford out of lineup with tight quadriceps
PHOENIX — Saying he felt tightness in his quadriceps the day before, Carl Crawford won’t be in the lineup Thursday when the Dodgers face the Arizona Diamondbacks for their second game of the exhibition season.
Crawford said his felt the discomfort Wednesday when he scored from first base on a double by Yasiel Puig.
Crawford downplayed the severity of the injury.
“It’s just a little tightness,” he said. “Pretty sure I’ll be back out there tomorrow.”
Backup Tim Federowicz will catch for the second consecutive day in place of starter A.J. Ellis.
