Basketball: LACES sweeps boys’ and girls’ titles in City Section Division IV
LACES won City Section championships in Division IV boys’ and girls’ basketball on Thursday night.
The boys’ team defeated top-seeded Rancho Dominguez, 49-37. Joseph Sledge scored 15 points for LACES, which fouled out 7-foot center William Brooks in the fourth quarter. Jaylin Bass had 11 points for Rancho Dominguez.
The girls’ team defeated Animo South, 46-34.
