Boys’ basketball: City Section is investigating fight from Crenshaw-Locke game [Updated]
The City Section is investigating a fight that broke out with 21 seconds left in a Coliseum League basketball game between Crenshaw and host Locke on Wednesday.
The fight started on the court and then fans came out of the bleachers, according to City Section Commissioner John Aguirre. The game was halted with Crenshaw winning, 71-66.
A report by the officials indicated that the first punch thrown was by a Locke player. A Crenshaw assistant coach was assessed a technical foul. Aguirre said Friday that two Locke players and one Crenshaw player were ejected.
Aguirre said the game could become a forfeit since it was not completed depending outcome of his investigation.
