Basketball: Granada Hills outlasts Poly in triple overtime, 91-80
For pure entertainment value, few games will top Wednesday night’s City Section Division II state play-in game between Granada Hills and Sun Valley Poly. It went three overtimes before Granada Hills prevailed, 91-80.
Jacob Lilley scored 29 points, Brandon Dozier had 23 points and Michael Kalu 20 for Granada Hills. Mario Castaneda scored 21 points and Cesar Reyes 18 for Poly.
In a Division I game, Palisades defeated Dorsey, 77-67. Aaron Johnson scored 31 points.
In girls’ Division II, Bell defeated Westchester, 50-47. Raquel Romero scored 18 points and Daisy Sanchez 14.
