Boys’ basketball: Jordan McLaughlin scores 22 points in Etiwanda win
USC-bound Jordan McLaughlin scored 22 points in Etiwanda’s 55-45 Baseline League victory over Upland on Tuesday night. Etiwanda improved to 19-3 and 5-0.
Rancho Cucamonga defeated Glendora, 83-72. Daylan Lawrence scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds. Victor Joseph added 15 points and six assists. Rancho Cucamonga is 19-3 and 4-1.
In the Prep League, Stanford-bound Robert Cartwright of Flintridge Prep created another memorable moment for his classmates. His team was trailing Pasadena Poly, 48-31, heading into the fourth quarter. Cartwright scored 16 of his 35 points in the quarter, and Flintridge Prep won, 55-53.
“Unbelievable performance,” Coach Garret Ohara said.
In the Foothill League, Hart (19-2) stayed unbeaten in league with a 59-55 win over Canyon Country Canyon. Lewis Stallworth led the Indians with 16 points. West Ranch defeated Valencia, 71-69, on a basket by Christian Ware-Berry with two seconds left.
In the Pacific League, Amaad Wainwright scored 32 points in Burroughs’ 77-70 win over Hoover. Ajon Efferson had 26 points in Pasadena’s 60-41 win over Burbank.
In the Bay League, No. 2 Redondo defeated Leuzinger, 61-46. Terrell Carter scored 16 points and had nine rebounds. Leland Green had 15 points and eight rebounds.
Village Christian defeated Whittier Christian, 65-58. Christian Labadie scored 17 points for Whittier Christian.
