Boys’ basketball: London Perrantes prepares for his college debut
London Perrantes decided to attend college far from his home in the San Fernando Valley. The former Encino Crespi point guard signed with Virginia, and now he’s close to beginning his college basketball career.
His bio is up, practice has begun and Perrantes should be battling for playing time. The season opener is Nov. 8 vs. James Madison.
There’s four point guards on the roster, and Virginia Coach Tony Bennett told the Daily Progess: “I think London might be the better shooter out of [the four point guards] — if I just went by numbers, shooting drills, watching them shoot.”
It was those weekly Mission League battles against the likes of Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Max Guercy and Jaron Martin that’s prepared him for ACC basketball.
