Football: Brigham Young Athletic Director Tom Holmoe speaks to his old high school team
In town for his school’s football game against UCLA last week, Brigham Young Athletic Director Tom Holmoe, a former standout player for Crescenta Valley High, dropped by the Falcons’ game against La Canada on Friday night and gave a pep talk to players.
Holmoe, who starred for the Falcons in the late 1970s and played for the San Francisco 49ers, answered questions from players.
“It was so special for them to see an ex-Falcon,” Coach Paul Schilling said.
Schilling said a player asked what it was like for Holmoe playing in his first NFL game.
“He said it was nothing like his first high school game,” Schilling said.
