Football: Calabasas QB Tristan Gebbia nearing 13,000 yards passing

It has been quite a three-year run for quarterback Tristan Gebbia of Calabasas since his arrival to join Coach Casey Clausen.

He has 135 touchdown passes and has passed for more than 12,500 yards. There’s still a possibility of reaching 13,000 career passing yards, because Calabasas (14-0) might play two more games. First up is Friday’s CIF state 2-AA bowl game against host San Diego Madison.

Gebbia, a Nebraska commit, had 491 yards passing and five touchdowns in last week’s Southern Section Division 5 championship game against Capistrano Valley.

Helping him has been the development of freshman receiver Johnny Wilson.
