Football: Canoga Park pulls out 15-14 win over San Fernando.
There was lots of drama on Monday night in the completion of a Valley Mission League football game between Canoga Park and San Fernando.
The game picked up in the second quarter with Canoga Park ahead, 7-6. But San Fernando had the lead when the Hunters scored with 24.6 seconds left on a touchdown by Anselmo Garcia.
Coach Ivan Moreno decided to go for the win, and quarterback Andrew Dion scored the two-point conversion for a 15-14 Canoga Park victory.
The win means the Hunters (6-3, 5-0) will play Sylmar next week for the league title. San Fernando dropped to 2-7 and 2-3.
