Football: City Section having good season for college signees
Wednesday’s signing day for high school seniors will be a big day for City Section football players. It’s been a good year for college prospects.
Division I champion Narbonne will have four players from its outstanding defense finalize their college choices _ linebacker Anthony Pandy (Arizona), defensive end Dominic Peterson (Nevada), defensive tackle Boe Tufele (Georgia Tech) and cornerback Mario Williams (Southern Utah).
Receiver Tre Walker could end up at San Jose State or Florida Atlantic.
City Division II champion Los Angeles will have defensive tackle Martin Andrus sign with UCLA and defensive lineman Chris Green sign with Nevada, where former Romans Coach Eric Scott is now an assistant coach. South Gate defensive back Jamaal Neal is signing with UNLV.
Hawkins has two players announcing their college choices on Wednesday _ receiver Joseph Lewis and running back Greg Johnson. They’ll make the announcement on ESPN2.
Dorsey signees will include defensive lineman Gregory Jordan (Northern Arizona) and running back Antwone Williams (Portland State).
