Football: Ivy League teams want Edison receiver Garrett White
The Ivy League wants Edison receiver Garrett White, and for good reason.
Besides great grades, White is the son of Edison Coach Dave White. Besides having terrific hands, he has played multiple sports and understands the commitment needed on and off the field.
Yale, Pennsylvania and Columbia have all told him this week they want him at their campus. On Thursday, White committed to Yale pending final approval.
White will be on display next weekend when Edison hosts its annual passing tournament on July 11 that will feature such teams as St. John Bosco, Bishop Amat, Narbonne, Mater Dei and Corona Centennial.
