Football: Mater Dei’s special teams look good with Ryan Stonehouse, Chase McGrath

Longtime Santa Ana Mater Dei Coach Bruce Rollinson will have one less item to worry about this season: the special teams.

The Monarchs have an exceptional duo returning in punter Ryan Stonehouse and kicker Chase McGrath.

Stonehouse was born to be a punter. His father, Paul, was a standout punter at Loyola and Stanford. His uncle, John, was a standout punter at Loyola and USC.

He has been punting footballs since he was 5 years old.

McGrath made 10 of 13 field goals last season.

Both are seniors and will give Rollinson plenty of options this fall.
