Football: Notre Dame’s defense deserves to take a bow
To shut out No. 3-ranked Gardena Serra for three quarters and limit the Cavaliers to zero points until late in a game means a team is playing great defense. And that’s what Sherman Oaks Notre Dame did last week in a 20-13 overtime loss to Serra.
Junior defensive back Parker Lynch had nine tackles. Senior defensive back Koa Farmer had seven tackles and defensive lineman Deion Dayao conributed two sacks.
Next up for Notre Dame (2-1) is a Friday game against Birmingham (3-0).
