Football: Tight end Henry Diaz of Huntington Park is big-play weapon
It’s unusual for a high school football player to already have touchdown plays of 91 and 93 yards, and it’s even more rare that the player pulling it off is a tight end.
But that’s what Henry Diaz of Huntington Park has accomplished this season.
In leading his team to a 4-0 record, the 6-foot-1, 230-pound Diaz had a 93-yard scoring pass against Lincoln and a 91-yard TD pass play against Fremont.
He’s built like a Marine with not an ounce of fat visible on his body. He has a 3.7 grade-point average and wants to become an engineer.
Here’s the link to his 91-yard pass play.
And here’s the link to Diaz catching a short pass and running over a Lincoln defender.
The senior is a legitimate standout football player.
