Football: Washington Bellevue program violated rules for years, according to investigation
An independent investigation released by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association has found that coaches, boosters, adminstrators and players at high school football powerhouse Bellevue were in violation of WIAA rules for years.
One of the major findings was that the football coaching staff directed players to attend the Academic Institute _ a private school _ to gain minimum grade requirements while booster club members helped pay the $1,750 per month tuition for players.
