Football: Garfield leads 6-0 at halftime

In a tense defensive struggle befitting Los Angeles’ biggest rivalry, Garfield is clinging to a 6-0 lead over Roosevelt at halftime of the East L.A. Classic at East Los Angeles College.

Ty’Jon Delancy scored on a three-yard run early in the second quarter to cap an 11-play, 91-yard drive for the Bulldogs but the two-point conversion pass failed.

Roosevelt will get the ball first in the second half.
