Does KO end possibility of Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight?

Thoughts on the fight?

Dwyre: “Somebody was going to go down like that. Neither one listened to their corner. Pacquiao decided ‘This is it, I’m going for it,’ and when you go for it like that, flailing away, you leave yourself open. And he just got caught.”

Is Pacquiao the fighter he once was?

Dwyre: “He’s not as good as he was three years ago, but he’s still a great fighter. Every athlete has flaws and his is an impatience to listen to what Freddie Roach tells him and step away from Marquez’s right hand. Manny is a great fighter but he doesn’t allow the strategy that Roach gives him to take hold. He just doesn’t listen to it.”

Dwyre has been writing for two years that a Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight will never take place. His thoughts after Saturday?

Dwyre: “The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight has less of a zing to it now. Promoter Bob Arum said after the fight that ‘the fans have an appetite now for more of this kind of action. Why would anyone was to see a defensive Mayweather fight?’”
