Chad Johnson forgiven for rear-end-slapping incident
Chad Johnson ended up getting a slap on the wrist for his slap on the derriere.
On June 10, during a hearing for a probation violation in a Broward County, Fla., court, Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after slapping his lawyer’s rear end during the proceedings.
On Monday, Johnson apologized to Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh and she apparently forgave him, reducing his jail sentence to seven days.
“I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time,” Johnson said. “I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom.”
Johnson was initially put on probation after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence last year against his former wife, Evelyn Lozada.
Johnson, 35, was released by the Miami Dolphins after the arrest.
