Lakers’ Kobe Bryant has the fourth-hottest-selling jersey
Kobe Bryant has the fourth-hottest-selling jersey in the league behind Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, according to NBA.com.
Bryant has previously topped the list seven times throughout his career. Anthony, with the New York Knicks, displaced James at No. 1.
James, who won his first championship with the Miami Heat last season, previously had the hottest-selling jersey through four seasons.
Dwight Howard is No. 12 on the list behind the Clippers’ Chris Paul (nine) and Blake Griffin (10).
As a team, the Lakers are the third-best-selling team behind the Knicks and the Heat.
It’s worth noting, given how high Anthony and the Knicks fall on the list, the rankings are based on “combined sales at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue and NBAStore.com.”
Web sales certainly even out the field to a degree, but the store in New York sold more Knicks and Anthony jerseys? That’s not a surprise.
