Kobe Bryant swears off Twitter -- at least during games
Kobe Bryant has sworn off Twitter -- at least during games.
While sidelined with a torn Achilles’ tendon, Bryant has been reduced to spectator as the Lakers try to upset the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.
Bryant gave his observations throughout the 91-79 loss in Game 1 on Sunday, which got national attention, even making the ABC broadcast.

During the game Sunday, Bryant urged from afar his teammates to pound the ball into post players Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. He also didn’t like their late defense on Spurs guard Tony Parker.

The Lakers did rely on a steady diet of post plays, but with the team’s perimeter shooters struggling, the Spurs were able to crowd Howard and Gasol.
Bryant’s tweets drew so much attention, moving forward he’ll stick to commenting when the Lakers are idle.
Coach Mike D’Antoni has enough trouble trying to guide his team against the 58-24 Spurs that second-guessing the Lakers coach is a staple on Twitter (whether the Lakers win or lose). Bryant might want to avoid throwing logs onto the fire.

The Lakers will get a second shot at San Antonio in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
