Kobe and Vanessa Bryant selling home in Newport Coast
As noted by Lauren Beale of The Times on Tuesday, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, are selling one of their two homes in the area.
According to Beale, their Newport Coast home was put on the market with an asking price of $8.599 million.
The property was last sold in 1997 at $1.7 million.
In addition to the four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the home features an 850-square-foot-gym, a hair salon, a theater and, naturally, a shark tank.
Bryant was originally acquired by the Lakers in 1996 in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets (now New Orleans Pelicans). The All-Star guard is in the final year of his contract with the team at $30.5 million.
When asked recently by Jimmy Kimmel at a public event, Bryant agreed he expects to be a Laker for the remainder of his career.
