Kobe Bryant gives back-handed words of ‘support’ to Dwight Howard
Kobe Bryant gave Dwight Howard a back-handed offer of support Monday night on Twitter, where three days earlier Bryant had “unfollowed” Howard after the free-agent center chose the Houston Rockets over the Lakers.

Bryant wished the new Rockets center well -- but it’s clear that Bryant now views Howard as the opposition.
Despite Bryant’s having met with Howard, along with teammate Steve Nash, to try to convince him to stay, the All-Star center announced Friday that his choice was Houston.
The Lakers agreed to terms with former Clippers center Chris Kaman on Monday.

Bryant is recovering from surgery to repair a torn Achilles’ tendon. The Lakers and Rockets will presumably meet four times this coming season.
Hopefully Bryant will be available and in true form for each . . .
