Lakers’ Jordan Hill 11 games away from $63,600 contract incentive

The Lakers ‘ Jordan Hill is 11 games away from qualifying from a $63,600 contract incentive.

The forward-center is in the second year of a two-year contract with the Lakers. His base compensation for each season is $3.5 million.

Should Hill play at least 48 games while averaging 14.1 minutes a night, his incentive kicks in -- pushing his total to $3,563,600.

Last season Hill didn’t qualify for the incentive, playing only 29 games after suffering a hip injury that required surgery. His 15.8 minutes per game would have been enough to trigger the bonus, had he played an additional 19 games.

So far this season, Hill has averaging 9.1 points through 20.2 minutes a game in 37 appearances.

Hill is one of three Lakers to play in every game this season, along with Nick Young and Jodie Meeks.

As long as Hill averages at least nine minutes over the team’s final 45 games, he’ll be rewarded with the additional $63,600.
