Pau Gasol’s foot improves but still no timetable for his return
Pau Gasol had an ultrasound on his injured right foot. Although the scan showed that his foot is healing, no timetable has been set yet for Gasol’s return.
Gasol was injured Feb. 5 in a Lakers win over the Brooklyn Nets. His recovery was going smoothly until he felt soreness late last week.
The Lakers will continue to ramp up Gasol’s activity but at a measured pace.
After losing on Monday in Phoenix to the Suns, the Lakers are off until Friday when they host the Washington Wizards.
If Gasol isn’t ready to go Friday, the Lakers embark on a crucial four-game trip Monday, starting at Golden State against the Warriors.
Gasol has played in 36 of 69 games this season, averaging 13.4 points and 8.0 rebounds a game.
