Dwight Howard lost 50 percentage points on Friday night, missing a corner three at the buzzer to end the first half in a 114-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Howard had taken his first three-point attempt as a Laker just a week earlier in a victory over the Denver Nuggets, hitting from the corner with 9.8 seconds left in the game.

With the miss against the Thunder, Howard went from a 100% three-point shooter to 50% on the year. He still has the best percentage on the team, an early oddity in the numbers.

Howard recently adopted the saying “YOSO” or “You only shoot once,” a play on “YOLO” (You only live once).

In the moment Friday, Howard was spotted up behind the arc, receiving a pass from a penetrating Kobe Bryant with the clock winding down.

The Lakers had a difficult game against the Thunder and while they gave a strong effort through three quarters, yielding 41 points in the second period was their downfall.

After taking just one of three games on the road (winning in New Orleans), the Lakers return to host the Utah Jazz on Sunday night before heading out on a four-game trip starting in Cleveland on Tuesday.
