Kendall Marshall was just a child when he met Pau Gasol in 2003
At 33-years old, Pau Gasol is in his 13th NBA season. Teammate Kendall Marshall, in his second season, is 11 years his junior at 22.
The two met in 2003 in Atlanta at during NBA All-Star Weekend, while Gasol was with the Memphis Grizzlies.
On Tuesday, Marshall posted a snapshot on Instagram of that meeting.
Marshall and Gasol have quickly developed a strong working chemistry together on the floor.
Since Marshall took over for injured players as the team’s starting point guard, Gasol has averaged 20.4 points, 12.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
As a starter, Marshall is averaging 12.0 points and 11.8 assists a game.
