Kobe Bryant’s court battle with his mother, Pamela Bryant, will take him to New Jersey, according to a ruling by U.S. District Judge Renee Bumb.

The trial will begin June 17 in a Camden courtroom.

Bumb, according to Jim Walsh of the Courier-Post, also rejected Bryant’s request to dismiss a lawsuit filed against him by Golden Auctions.

The Lakers guard also has a lawsuit filed in California to block the auction.

Pamela Bryant received a $450,000 advance for memorabilia she claims Bryant gave her -- while he states he is still the rightful owner of various jerseys, rings and trophies.

“Mr. Bryant’s personal property has ended up in the possession of someone who does not lawfully own it,” said Kobe Bryant’s attorney, Mark Campbell as noted in The Times on May 3. “We look forward to resolving this legal matter through the legal system.”
