Andrew Bynum to start against the Clippers

Among all the head-scratching elements concerning Andrew Bynum’s recent behavior, there’s at least one thing that’s clear.

After missing Tuesday’s game against New Jersey because of a sprained left ankle, Bynum will start Wednesday against the Clippers.

It was yet another day in which Bynum continued his weird behavior. He declined to talk to reporters about his health before the game, his usual custom, but he then blasted Warren G rap music through his headphones. The Lakers forbid players to play music loudly in the locker room. After working on a series of post moves with Lakers assistant coach Darvin Ham, Bynum then shot three-pointers, the same thing that got him benched last week against Golden State.

The Lakers have remained so frustrated with his behavior that they fined him, The Times’ Mike Bresnahan and ESPN Los Angeles’ Dave McMenamin reported. One of those transgressions involved skipping a meeting with Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak. Meanwhile, Bynum has also made digs toward Coach Mike Brown by suggesting that he doesn’t participate in team huddles and that he’ll continue shooting three-pointers despite Brown’s disapproval.
