Oddsmakers still favor Lakers over Houston to win West
Heading into Friday night’s battle against the San Antonio Spurs, the Lakers have better odds to get to the NBA Finals than the Houston Rockets — at least according to gambling website Bovada.
The Lakers, down 0-2 against the Spurs while playing without an injured Kobe Bryant (Achilles), are 66-1 longshots.
After Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder went down with a knee injury, Houston’s odds jumped from 150-1 to 75-1 — still behind the Lakers.
Bovada has the Lakers and Rockets even, both at 150-1, to win the championship in June.
The Thunder and Spurs both have 3-2 odds to make it to the NBA Finals.
The Miami Heat are the prohibitive favorite to win it all with 1-2 odds.
