Lakers’ Week 25 in review

The Lakers wrapped the 2013-14 season with two straight wins, finishing 27-55 on the season.

Week 25 started with a 119-104 win over the Jazz in Utah on Monday, which dropped the Lakers to sixth in the NBA draft lottery.

On Wednesday, the Lakers closed out the year with a 113-110 victory on the road in San Antonio against the Spurs.

All-star Kobe Bryant took off early, heading to France before the Lakers’ season ended.

Kent Bazemore underwent surgery to repair a torn tendon in his foot.

Coach Mike D’Antoni reflected on what was a tough season for the Lakers. After the team held exit meetings, D’Antoni noted that basketball has changed and that analysts need to adapt.

Jordan Farmar, whose isn’t under contract for next year, said he wants to return, after what he called an “asterisk” season.

Center Chris Kaman, also an impending free agent, acknowledged frustration with D’Antoni.

Steve Nash, who has another year on his deal, still hopes he can be a healthy contributor for the Lakers.

Pau Gasol acknowledged that his time with the Lakers could be done.

Nick Young, always a showman, will also be a free agent -- as will Jordan Hill, who noted, “It’s tough to say” if he’ll be back.

General Manager Mitch Kupchak preached patience for Lakers fans. The Buss family ownership group faces a crucial moment as the franchise looks to rebuild.

The team could have up to $28.2 million in spending power this summer, but can Lakers executives find worthy talent in free agency?

Duke’s Jabari Parker declared for NBA draft.
