NBA roundup: LeBron James leads Cavaliers to eighth straight win

LeBron James scored 35 points, including a tiebreaking three-pointer with 48 seconds remaining, and the Cleveland Cavaliers rallied to beat the Toronto Raptors, 105-101, Tuesday night in Cleveland for their eighth consecutive victory.

James’ jumper from beyond the top of the key gave Cleveland a 102-99 lead and tied him with Mark Price for the franchise record for three-pointers at 802.

James scored 10 points in the fourth quarter as Cleveland rallied from a 10-point deficit early in the period. Dion Waiters scored 18 points and Kevin Love had 17.

Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross each scored 18 for Toronto, which led 63-55 at halftime and 88-81 after three quarters. Kyle Lowry added 16, but scored only two in the fourth quarter.

at Utah 100, San Antonio 96: Derrick Favors scored 21 points, Gordon Hayward added 20 and the Jazz snapped a nine-game losing streak. Enes Kanter had 12 points and 15 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season for Utah, which lost all four games against the Spurs last season. Tim Duncan had 23 points and 13 rebounds for San Antonio.

at Memphis 114, Dallas 105: Marc Gasol scored 30 points, Mike Conley added 22 and the Grizzlies withstood 18 three-pointers by the Mavericks — six by Chandler Parsons, who had 30 points.

Portland 98, at Detroit 86: The Pistons lost their 13th consecutive game, one short of the franchise record set in 1979-80 and tied in 1993-94. LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who won their fifth straight.

at New Orleans 104, New York 93: Tyreke Evans scored 27 points, Anthony Davis had 18 and the Pelicans handed the reeling Knicks their ninth consecutive loss, and 10th straight on the road.

at Oklahoma City 114, Milwaukee 101: Russell Westbrook had 28 points and Kevin Durant scored 23 in his first home game of the season for the Thunder, which has won five of six after a 3-12 start without the injured Durant and Westbrook.

Miami 103, at Phoenix 97: Chris Bosh scored 10 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter, including seven straight down the stretch, and the Heat ended a four-game losing streak.
