In searching an apartment leased to Aaron Hernandez, Massachusetts State Police have found more evidence in their investigation into the slaying of Odin Lloyd, police documents say.

Authorities recovered ammunition -- including the type of .45-caliber bullets used in the slaying of Odin Lloyd -- as well as a white hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap that might have been worn by Hernandez at or around the time of the crime, according to a 15-page document filed at Wrentham District Court.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges. He is being held without bail.

Police learned of the apartment during the questioning of Carlos Ortiz, a Hernandez associate who is being held on lesser charges. The document says Ortiz confirmed he was with Hernandez during the night in question, June 17, and that they had stopped by the apartment. The document describes the apartment as one that “not many people know about.”

The apartment is in Franklin, Mass., roughly 10 miles north of Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough.

Among the items police recovered at the apartment were many pieces of clothing marked with an “81” -- Hernandez’s jersey number -- among them the same type and color of sweat shirt that he was observed wearing in surveillance video on the night of the homicide, according to the document.

The document says police found a baseball hat on the kitchen table, similar to the one Hernandez was wearing outside a Boston club on the night of June 14 when he was photographed by Channel 7 in Boston. The hat is described as cranberry-colored on the brim and back, with a light blue face panel featuring the word “Society” written backward.

Police say they also found a June 14 valet-parking ticket from the “W” in Boston, which is walking distance from the club where Hernandez was alleged to have been seen.
