Bubba Watson: Did he make the best shot Sunday at the Masters?

Bubba Watson earned himself a green jacket Sunday with a shot that will go down as one of the most memorable in Masters history. But was it even the best shot of the day?

Watson’s second shot on the No. 10, the second hole in his sudden-death playoff with Louis Oosthuizen, was truly amazing. He took it from far off the fairway to the right, from some pine straw with trees and a TV tower in his line of vision.

But somehow he hooked the ball through the only clearing and willed it onto the green, 15 feet away from the pin. The Times’ Bill Dwyre described it as the “Miracle at the Masters.”

It set up Watson’s victory over Oosthuizen, who made a pretty dramatic shot of his own earlier in the day. He made the first-ever double eagle on the No. 2 hole at Augusta -- and only the fourth ever in Masters history.
