Blake Griffin: Clippers can’t overlook struggling Knicks
The Clippers’ next opponent, the New York Knicks, are playing surprisingly poor basketball this season, but that doesn’t mean the Clippers can overlook them when the two teams play Wednesday night at Staples Center.
After all, the Knicks, though having lost six consecutive games, still have all-star forward Carmelo Anthony, who is second in the NBA in scoring (26.5 points per game).
They also still have athletes and are a team desperate for a win.
“The danger is just that, overlooking a team like that,” Blake Griffin said. “They are very talented and capable of winning games and capable of playing well and capable of putting up a lot of points. So, we can’t overlook any games.”
The Clippers have won their last two games and are looking forward to keeping the streak going.
“This next game is the most important game on our schedule, because that’s our next game,” Griffin said. “That’s the way we have to look at it.”
