San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick and Seattle’s Russell Wilson will be facing off for the fourth time in their young careers on Sunday, but this time more than an eyebrow will be on the line.

The two quarterbacks will be hoping to propel their teams to the Super Bowl with a victory in the National Football Conference championship. Kaepernick and the 49ers made it there last year, losing to the Baltimore Ravens, 34-31.

The second-year starters are among the most exciting young QBs in the NFL and provide an interesting side story to the game with the level of success they’ve achieved with their dual-threat playing styles.

Wilson is 24-8 as a starter, completing 63.6% of his passes for 6,475 yards with 52 touchdowns and 19 interceptions for a 100.6 passer rating. He also has 1,028 rushing yards with five touchdowns, although only one of those TDs came this season.

The Seahawks quarterback had a subpar outing during his team’s first playoff game this year, a 23-15 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Saturday. He completed nine of 18 passes for 103 yards and rushed for 16 yards on three attempts.

Kaepernick, who took over as the 49ers starter late last season, is 17-6, completing 59.8% of his passes with 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for a 93.6 passer rating. He has rushed for 937 yards and nine touchdowns (four in 2012, five in 2013).
